Jaylon Owens is 2016 Castle Regional Champion at 170 lbs.
Colton O'neal is Castle Regional runner-up at 160 lbs.
Jacob Sisk finished 4th at Regional.

Congratulations to Natalie Bohnert on earning a sectional championship in the 100 backstroke and is headed to state. (Only first or a state cut advances). Hallee Stephens 3rd place finish and Sylvia Henson 4th place finish both advanced to regional in diving.
Junior Maya Frederick, sophomores Quin Bailey and Brittany Young and freshman Natalie Bohnert teamed up to break the school record in the 400-yard freestyle relay during the finals of the girls' swimming sectionals at Jasper on Saturday, Feb. 6. The foursome placed fourth in the event with a time of 4:07.81, breaking the school record of 4:13.73 set by Susan Rogers, Dana Bohnert, Missy Barnes and Amy Hatfield in 1985.
Pike Central Vocational Welding students took the top five places at the Region 4 Skills USA Welding Contest held at Vincennes University on Saturday, February 6th. Seven Pike Central Vocational Welding students competed with Pike Central senior Eli Loveland placing first. Eli received a $5,000 scholarship from Vincennes University and a $5,000 scholarship from Ohio Technical College. Click here to read the rest of the results. Pike Central Precision Machining department competed in the Skills USA Regional Competition at Vincennes University on Saturday, February 6th.
1st place - Logan Schmitt - $2,500 scholarship to Vincennes University
2nd place - Nick Lane - $1,000 scholarship to Vincennes University
4th place - Noah McCain - $500 scholarship to Vincennes University
5th place - Caleb Miller - $500 scholarship to Vincennes University

Congratulations to the students who participated in the District Indiana State School Music Association competition at North High School on January 30th.
Singers winning 1st place gold medals in Division 1 and advancing to the state competition in Indianapolis on February 20th are:
Jon Kroeger, Abby Hess, Amelia Woolery, Audrey Keepes, Lani Dillard and Caleb Mullins.
Jon Kroeger also received first place in piano.
Winning Silver medals were:
Weston Reed, Hunter Loveless and Allyson Davis.
Emma Russell received a gold medal in Division 2.
Congratulations to Colton O'Neal on his Sectional Championship in Wrestling. Colton won his 160 lb division at the Evansville Mater Dei Wrestling Sectional this past weekend.
Jaylon Owens was runner up in his division and Jacob Sisk finished 4th in his division.
Congratulations to Erica Gaines on being named with 2016 Winter Homecoming Queen and Paige Kluemper for being named with Winter Homecoming Princess.
The Precision Machining Department at Pike Central High School and its instructor, Mr. Mark Scott, has received the 2016 Indiana Career and Technical Education Award for Excellence presented by the Indiana Department of Education.
All award recipients will be recognized at a ceremony on Tuesday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Indiana Government Center south Auditorium in Indianapolis. A reception in the Government Center Atrium will immediately follow.
